YLP in the legal team advising Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund in the privatisation of four ports

Following a tender process, Your Legal Partners has been appointed – together with Alexiou & Kosmopoulos Law Firm and DVLaw – as legal advisers to the government’s Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) in relation to the privatisation of four Greek regional ports: Alexandroupolis, Igoumenitsa, Heraklion and Volos.

The privatisation will be achieved through the following: the sale of majority stakes in the relevant state-run port operating companies; revisions to the respective concession agreements between the port operating companies and the Greek government; and the conclusion of a shareholders’ agreement with the investors that will make the corporate governance of the port operating companies compatible with private-sector governance. The privatisation of these ports has been given priority by the HRADF given the ports’ significant potential for development.
